Senior Electronic Security Engineer

Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Provide senior-level engineering and technical expertise for the design, integration, implementation, testing, and sustainment of electronic security systems.
- Lead and support the development, integration, and deployment of access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, alarm, and integrated security management systems.
- Collaborate with Government Project Leads, IPT Leads, Systems Engineers, CORs, and contractor personnel to define requirements and develop effective security solutions.
- Develop, review, and maintain engineering plans, system requirements, designs, technical specifications, test plans, and other required technical documentation.
- Evaluate electronic security technologies, products, and solutions; identify technical risks and develop recommendations and solutions that meet operational, technical, and security requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise throughout system planning, design, testing, deployment, operation, troubleshooting, and ongoing sustainment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Experience:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the electronic security systems field.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering, design, integration, implementation, testing, or sustainment of electronic security systems and solutions.
- Experience providing technical leadership and engineering support for complex electronic security and physical security systems.
- Experience evaluating electronic security products, technologies, and solutions and developing recommendations based on operational and technical requirements.
- Experience developing and reviewing engineering documentation, system designs, technical specifications, test documentation, and other technical deliverables.
- Experience coordinating with Government customers, project managers, systems engineers, security professionals, and other technical stakeholders.
- Experience with electronic security technologies such as access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, alarm systems, security communications, and integrated security management systems is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Government, military, or other high-security environments is highly desirable.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
Certification:
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly desirable.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification is highly desirable.
- Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification is highly desirable.
- Candidates possessing both CPP and PSP certifications are strongly preferred.
- Other relevant electronic security, physical security, or manufacturer/OEM certifications, including Certified Systems Engineering and Integration Professional (CSEIP) or applicable OEM certifications, are highly desirable.
Security Level:
- Must possess and be able to maintain a secret security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Key Personnel Requirement:
- The Senior Electronic Security Engineer is designated as a Key Personnel position for the base contract.
- The proposed individual must demonstrate through their resume that they meet or exceed the minimum experience, education, and professional certification requirements identified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
- Resumes should clearly identify relevant electronic security systems engineering experience and applicable active professional certifications.
